In the old days, a lot of caravans used
to gather around the Citadel of Aleppo and
its khans to create a charming blend of
people.
Byzantines, Persians, Europeans and Turks
carrying with them their unique culture
and taste, and even their scent of perfumes,
they used to rest for a while before they
continue their journey to the east of ASIA
on the Silk Road, or even in their way back
home. Some travels were for commerce and
others were for hajj.
The dining tables in Aleppo used to host
and depart these convoys with its rich banquet
to satisfy all tastes from east to west.
